xHow large of an area does one fuel powered device protect?:
Thermacell Fuel-Powered Repellers provide a 15-foot zone of effective mosquito repellency which is the size of an average deck or patio. You may use more devices to protect larger areas.
How do I know the fuel powered device is on and working?:An orange glow in the view-finder, often on the top of the device, indicates that the Thermacell Repeller is on.
Can I stop and start the unit or do I have to use it all at once?:You can turn the unit on and off at will. Please allow 10 to 15 minutes for Thermacell to reach maximum effectiveness. You can use a Repellent Mat until it turns completely white.
Can I go on an airplane or fly with my Thermacell?:You cannot bring Thermacell Fuel Cartridges on a passenger aircraft. We typically suggest bringing your Thermacell Repeller and the mats but purchase the Fuel Cartridges at your destination. Our rechargeable repellers (Radius, E55 Rechargeable, E90, EX series) and Backpacker can be taken on aircraft. Thermacell products are sold internationally and throughout United States and Canada.
Can the repeller be used indoors, in a tent, or in a covered porch?:Thermacell products are for outdoor use only and should not be used in enclosed spaces. You should always follow label-use instructions.
What are the main ingredients in your products?:Our products contain active ingredients that repel mosquitos and inactive ingredients that assist with their release into the air. Our fuel-powered repellent mats use allethrin as the repellent active ingredient.
